Perform a wide variety of maintenance and other facilities related services focusing on time cost and quality standards. Respond promptly to customer requests and provide support to other Facilities Technicians and partnering processes. Responds to urgent facility issues, customer requests and routine work such as rounds, readings and preventive maintenance tickets.
This position is on our third shift: 11:00PM : 7:30AM, Tuesday : Saturday. May be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other emergencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
: Performs general repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance on buildings and facilities equipment, fixtures and systems.
: Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains facility plumbing, mechanical, electrical systems, etc.
: May do limited carpentry and painting.
: Proficient in the operation of most types of hand and power tools and equipment.
: Caulks fixtures, repair minor leaks and opens clogged drains.
: Installs voice/data cables.
: Performs work on employee relocations and renovations of departments.
: Manage and acquire appropriate inventory.
: Respond timely and professionally to customer requests.
: Advises manager in the development of other employees.
: Ensures the effective and accurate processing of all bills and invoices.
: Ensures the efficient management of vendors.
: Interfaces with different levels of management as well as with vendors, suppliers and contractors.
Able to meet productivity, quality, safety, and attendance requirements, including overtime as required to perform routine building maintenance tasks as necessary.
: Identifies savings opportunities at facilities including system and operational changes.
: Conduct daily rounds/building inspections and create self:initiated tickets to remediate deficiencies found.
: Maintain and clean areas that are not supported by the outside cleaning contractor, including, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, and cleaning and stocking restrooms.
: Coordinate outside contractors to maintain consistent levels of service established by the Manager.
: Maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
: Monitor work of outside vendors ensuring compliance with company requirements, work areas are clean and restored to previous conditions.
: Completes assigned work such as reactive and preventive maintenance tickets.
Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
: 3:5 years of general facilities maintenance experience.
: Ability to work independently.
: Able to follow instructions of blue prints and legends.
: Mechanical aptitude:CPR and first aid training required.
: Analytical ability
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
: Ability to lift up to 75lbs for up to 25 of time worked daily.
: Ability to climb ladders.
: Reports to work in adverse conditions.
: Bending, stooping, kneeling and squatting on repetitive basis
